As Portfolio Manager, Patrick co-manages our Australian smaller companies and micro-cap funds and conducts fundamental analysis on a range of smaller companies. Patrick has been part of the Smaller Companies team for a collective period of eleven years. Patrick initially joined the company in 2005 and developed his career as a highly regarded small cap analyst. Patrick worked at a small cap boutique as a portfolio manager for 3 years before re-joining Pendal’s Smaller Companies team in January 2018. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Commerce (1st class Honours) from the University of Queensland and is a CFA Charterholder.

With over 14 years’ industry experience, Oliver is an analyst focused on the Health Care and Utilities sectors. Starting his career with the business in 2004, Oliver has also worked with the Quantitative Services, Product and Performance and Attribution teams. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Financial Economics) from the University of New South Wales, where he was awarded the Australian Institute of Banking and Finance Award in his penultimate year, and is a CFA Charterholder.

Over the past 34 years, Pete has held financial markets roles spanning portfolio management, advisory and treasury markets. He joined the company in 1994 and is responsible for managing our range of listed property securities funds. Specialising in the Property, Retail, Insurance and Infrastructure sectors, he has previously held roles with Midland Montagu Australia, Daiwa Securities and has served as the non-executive director of the Industry Superannuation Property Trust. Pete holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Sydney.

Rajinder has over 17 years’ experience in Australian equities and manages our range of sustainability and ethical funds. He is also involved in the development and implementation of our Enhanced and Individually Managed Account strategies. Rajinder holds a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) and Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of New South Wales and is a CFA Charterholder.

Sondal is an investment analyst with over 19 years’ experience covering the Retail, Telecom, Media and Transport sectors. He joined Westpac Investment Management in 1999 and has previously held roles with Commonwealth Bank and Bell Commodities. Sondal holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and a Bachelor of Science (Maths and Statistics).

Elise provides fundamental company analysis for our Australian Equity large cap strategies. Elise previously worked as an investment analyst for US fund manager Cartica where she covered a variety of emerging market companies. Prior to Cartica, Elise worked in investment banking and corporate finance at JP Morgan and Ernst & Young. Elise holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Economics from the University of Queensland and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia.

Rachel is an Investment Analyst for our Smaller Companies team, providing fundamental analysis on a range of companies within the ASX ex-100 universe. Previously, Rachel was an Investment Analyst covering smaller companies for NAOS Asset Management and First Sentier Investors, where she began her career in their graduate program. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Actuarial Studies and Financial Economics) from the University of New South Wales and is a CFA Charterholder.

Jack is an investment analyst, focusing on large cap in the metals and mining sector.  

Jack has more than 14 years of industry experience in specialist mining roles in Europe, Canada and Australia.

Prior to joining Pendal, Jack worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he co-led the firm’s research coverage of Australian mining companies. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree in Economics from the University of Bath and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment Diploma.
